The Moment

We teetered on a daring line
A delicate balance of mutual attraction and obligation
Contemplating surrender posed its own dilemma
It broke the seal of the vows I pledged to another
And yet...it was a stunning invasion
Heated flesh upon heated flesh
Seeking!
Reaching!
Craving fulfillment!
It robbed me of breath
Control!
Sanity!
All too soon, we tumbled over the edge
There was no turning back
Among the aftermath, there was nothing left to do
And so, we savored the moment
