Bittersweet Love

As I lay awake
Battling insomniaís grasp
Your cheerful laughter
Creeps into my ear

Suppressed memories
Rush through my mindís eye
faster than the neurons
Can fire off

Oh, what joyful moments
Youíve gifted me
They quickly sour
Replaced with evil you sowed

I still remember your touch
Slowly caressing your curves
Velvet skin so soft at my fingertips
How I yearn for your body

Crushed by betrayal
Reeling until now, so much time elapsed
Drifting away, you were my Wilson
Castaway

Forgiveness provided
A deep hug farewell,
I still think of you fondly
And hope you are well
