I Wait
With all the damages
Over the years
I've inflicted
On my body
And the amazing times
I've managed
To walk away
From my fate
Where the law of averages
Insist that I pay
With all the damages
Over the years
I've done
To my head
The numbness and pain
That comes and goes
And those few scary days
Losing control
of my legs
Tells me
My retirement
IS now overdue
So i look upon the place
Where I sleep as my grave
The tools
To painlessly retire
I have
And yet
I'm still here
MANY nights
I ask the question
Why
The feeling I get
IS My fate
Wants me to wait
Until the reason
Why
Becomes Clear
Over the years
I've inflicted
On my body
And the amazing times
I've managed
To walk away
From my fate
Where the law of averages
Insist that I pay
With all the damages
Over the years
I've done
To my head
The numbness and pain
That comes and goes
And those few scary days
Losing control
of my legs
Tells me
My retirement
IS now overdue
So i look upon the place
Where I sleep as my grave
The tools
To painlessly retire
I have
And yet
I'm still here
MANY nights
I ask the question
Why
The feeling I get
IS My fate
Wants me to wait
Until the reason
Why
Becomes Clear
