Another Century Down

Every word written should
mean something, as I drank
vodka, smoked weed, and
jacked off
a Pulitzer Prize winner in
a crossword puzzle
lingerie nights, wet
bikini mornings
hell kisses me on the lips
edit bays and venereal warts
free lunch return to work week
I’d be in hell for the duration
at the new local chasing
Louisiana Hot Wings with
Allagash
it wasn’t the same
I wanted to see my buddy and
my fiancé, but capitalism made
that impossible
I’m in abandoned office
space with an old
man helper
we are not the same
someday there really would
be a tombstone with my
name on it and I was
someone no one ever
really knew
