wrestling depression
mid consequential addiction's
Irresistible spell
Compassionate friends
able hands extending
no longer reach down to assist
exclaim in frustration
“this one is not changing”
summarily crossed-off life’s list
Enter the hero
by divine spark driven
filled with stuff of deity
power-lifts to safety
exhausted downtrodden
showing true love’s
unwavering loyalty
Who came to rescue,
supernatural power wielding?
one using inherited strength
from heaven brought nearer.
whose heroic visage
can be seen in the mirror
