Hard On My Heart
First you seduced me
Then you just used me
To make another
Woman jealous
I should have known
There never was an us
How I cried
As I tried to make sense
Out of all the confusion
You brought to my life
Now that mystery woman's
Not a mystery to me
She is your wife
I can forgive you
For all of your lies
But the pain I've got inside
Is more than I can take
You were wrong from the start
Why'd you have to be
So hard on my heart?

Aww, thanks, Leo! I wrote this from my own experience but it didn't just happen. I was only 20 years old when it happened but once in a while the memories still haunt me. I was so disappointed when I found out he had a wife because I was genuinely and very deeply in love with him then. I guess some memories just hang around for ever. Thank you for your kind words, nonetheless.
