Retraced Fates

Dear CO,

“More divorced from existence” what a grand description of life some days! I really like the idea from your authors notes stemming from the poem, the chain of events spiraling from bad to worse yet, the opportunity to change the course of those negatives and turn them into positives is always an option, if chosen. I really appreciated the idea of literally tracing events by the lines on someone’s face and what might have been…naturally I can’t use my face as it’s line less and my life has no negative consequences (complete fib 😉)

I very much appreciate and ponder this piece of yours, C...

There is something about the logic or in my experience, the illogical, that leads my mind to question why we as humans, seemingly have problems spotting that 'from bad to worse' transition.... It's like the frog sitting it warm water and very very slowly the water gets incrementally hotter and hotter, until completely unnoticed, the frog boils to death... never jumping out...

It's always mind boggling to me what we fail to see what's doing us harm, when it's right in front of us and so easily able to dismiss something good without a second thought...

It's about careful consideration, being open, cautiously optimistic and not rushing to judgements.... either the pros or the cons.  

Just using your head!!

Something else that I think about
is the concept of positive and negative reinforcement,
throughout one's life...  For things outside of our control...

And how those things
can call into question fate, determinism, and
things like that...

This is certainly a multifaceted sort of thing...

And maybe that is at least
part of the reason we fail to see...

We are indoctrinated with the
traits and tendencies...

Thinking deserve has
something to do with it...

But does it?

Interesting things to contemplate.

You really make a HUGE point nailing it, Cipher! .... Learned behaviors are absolutely KEY in how we see ourselves and definitely explain the enormous amount of bullshit we're willing to take from others. It takes a lot of courage, strength and fortitude to beak the chains of that 'indoctrination', to finally see ourselves for who we really are and who we were always meant to be without the scars that were fucking inflicted without our say so. Rewiring one's self to have the gumption, self confidence and total wherewithal in not accepting ANYTHING less than what we truly deserve.  

Deep, often painful thoughts but important to share...imo.
