Drowning

It's all going a bit crazy in here
Lost in these shadows I'm thinking the worst
I'm losing my mind I fear
Or I will if these waves don't swallow me first.

Waves fold in on me.
Arms which bind me to the grey
Torture and enslave me
A raging storm does come my way.

The sea whom I once called a friend,
Her mermaids change to demons black
They tear my sane from deep within
Refuse to give my whole heart back.

They hold me under long enough
That I can glimpse the other side
But here is peace the world can't know
A place the tortured soul can hide.

And as I do relax, succumb
I breathe in salty water deep,
My lungs begin  to gently fill
My soul does gently fall asleep.

How easy it would be to drift
To feel those demon waves no more
Then like a bolt of lightning strikes!
I find my body on the shore.

A magic cloak around me tight,
A voice which speaks to me;
"You lost your way, you lost your sight
And so my light you failed to see."

They lift me up, unfold my wings
And guide me to the sky
Their words of light empower me
Reminding me that I must fly.

"The universe is deep inside you
You are power, you are light,
So when you drown and lose your way
You don't give up!
Girl you fight!"

Author's Note
I was in a very dark place trying to pick my self up, using meditation and alot of soul searching, I felt my guides very close, lifting me back up, urging me to carry on
