Psycle

Maniacal ego
unquelled
where the slightest inconvenience
releases hell

the mountain's too high
too tall to tell
the air must be getting thinner
this winter's gone stale

and when it all gets washed in rain
they will fear the day
when they realize the excuses and the pain
stay the same and haven't changed

ego maniac
unchecked
the shallowness in which it sinks
is new depths

more rocks to be laid upon the chest
in shorter breaths
until it stresses what is left
in more frequent reps

and when it's further pressed
nothing has changed
never received that piece of rest
it's all the same

egotistical mania
uncontained
the remaining one
beaten and brave

never caved to the depraved
keeping the name
behaved like cravings to maintain
mountainous terrain

over and over, just rearranged
a four leaf clover, to make the change
on and on, til nothing remains
far from gone, yet all the same
