Neither Old Nor Young.............
Salt and pepper beard graces
his strong, chiseled face
his mind, a fertile almanac of
sensual nuance
(and I hope she finds her strong curiosity never looked upon in disgrace)
His savored brand of complexity
is still as hard as that old oak tree
in the still of a hot summer night
“June” falls down upon bended knee
embracing “Autumn's” bittersweet
(like a babe suckles a tender teet)
her eager, bee stung lips,
wet and wonderful
stirring his aged, marbled meat (so damned good.....so right)
…..it makes you wonder
why so many believe
something so humane
to be so wrong
age is but only a number
passion is neither old or young........
“….. you wanted to be free
now you're free to run
free to live free to love
neither old nor young”
so let them stare
dare they see
dare they listen
do we care.......?
…...in the safety of our now
free to love, free to run
through the splendor of the tall grass
shading the beauty of our
“libidinous moon”

The older I get the more I am a cheerleader for enjoying physical love in older age. I love the sensuous abandon of this poem, especially this verse (raises pictures in my mind);
