This afternoon
I am elated to
find in my old notes
sayings by Baltasar Gracian,
from the early 1600s.
They, as all my past mentors,
inspire me in new and
meaningful ways.

"Cultivate relationships with
those who can teach you. Let
friendly intercourse be a school
of knowledge, and let culture
be taught through conversation.
Thus you make your friends your
teachers ..."

YOU have become my teacher
in old and new subjects;
you have unlocked the
doors to secret passion,
you have taken away my
negativity toward that
which was questionable;
you have attached me
to your appetite to explore
new fantasies; opened my
eyes to look beyond the
outward...to accept others
from INSIDE out.

I am still learning and so
are you, too. So let's
meet at the Kissing
