THE MAGIC OF RUMI'S WORDS
QUIETNESS
This morning in my
meditation I thought
of these words from
one of my mentors,
the ancient holy man,
Rumi, born in Afghanistan
September 30, 1207.
"Love has taken away
my practices and
filled me with poetry. I
tried to keep quietly repeating,
not strength but yours,
but I couldn't.
I had to clap and sing"
As I cherish your love
and magic it creates,
I have abandoned all
other interest, even to the
point of celibacy...well
maybe that's going too far.
I cherish your strength
which you transfer to
me across the universes;
I hope Rumi undertands
my application. ...Ummmm
I know he will.
Meet me at the Kissing place
and we'll discuss and share
our spiritual existence.
