Taming The beast
I don't have the
Time to spare
To tell you why
I no longer care
For the one thing
You never were
Was fair
I've done my best
To tame the beast
Inside of me
But I can't hold
On anymore
It's too painful
For me
Now is not
The time to be passive
I won't let you
Make me cry
You took me
On this rocky ride
I just don't know why
So baby goodbye

While sad, what resonated in this poem was strength. I think so often, we can feel desperate to hang onto a relationship either with ourselves or with someone else that should end and we don’t let it go. But this write says, Let. It. Go! Supportive and assertive. Two wonderful attributes. So very well written. H🌷
