but mate, I gasp, over the last gulp of my pint, are you really saying you’ve read ‘em all !

Considering you've posted over 3000 poems on here, I can honestly say I haven't read them all.
And yet,
The thought of comparing the merit of this single poem in lue of the rest as your worst is quite a laughable suggestion.
Seriously, why is it an inherent reflex of the writer to measure his work on a sliding scale? I myself have often wondered if I've lost the touch, and if not, will I ever.
You have such a great gift to render so much from so little. Thought provoking as always.
