I followed the trail of moonlight
In radiance, luminance,
Opulence -
Until I arrived at the place
Of magic,
A psychological cove
Vaulted
With silent meditations
Of life and love
So
High
Above…
O
How you are
Eternalized
In
The skies
Of
My eyes
In halos of sorrows
Homogenized
As
My eyes
Become skies
Of
Un-lonely
Alone.

This is awesome. Gotta level with ya. I love wolves. They are one of my favorite top 3 animals.
There is something so majestic about them. Totally love the hierarchy of the pack. The whole social order that has absolutely nothing to do with mankind but at the same time similar.
I actually looked it up. How long they have roamed earth. Like about a million years. They were also huge as well.
Can you imagine - back then - hearing a pack howl at the moon.
Almost like an eerie serenade. I bet it sounded apocalyptic and beautiful. They survived it all and are still standing following their own traditions just like us. Too cool:)

Think of the magnitude of beauty
of their most ancient forms.

You raise an interesting point...
In regard to the role wolves
may have played in the evolution of mankind.
Have you heard of "the stoned ape theory"?
Terence McKenna proposed that we learned
of psychedelic mushrooms by watching primates
consume them, and studying the effects...
And that in ingesting these substances,
we essentially built the modern brain,
as well as our potential to be geniuses.
I think such a perspective could be
carried over to the behavior of all animals...
Some have proposed that the first designs
for plains were derived from watching birds...
Or...
Prides of lions...
Yes...
Or amphibians.
I would also argue that psychedelics,
in some capacity, assisted our ancestors in their observations and the ideas that arose from these observations.
