Bubble gum

You said you loved me
Then handed me bubble gum
You used to hum
me a song
What happened to us?
You made me cry and scream
Made me dream
For the greatest
That was out of reach
You burnt me once with bleach
You would torment little me
Then when I tried to defend myself you'd laugh
It always felt like I was being stabbed
You chewed your gum loudly
Because you had an addiction to it
Because you enjoyed chewing and spiting people out
What happened to your love?
I loved you with all my heart
Then you broke me apart
Then you'd treat me nice
Made me feel loved
So you could sadistically rip apart like you had already intended from the start
And that person being
My mom.
