Image for the poem Who

Who's The Enemy

Who are the fearmongers, that even bygone gods, would forsake
Holier-than-thou, when they sermonize, they're preachers of hate
Or are there no questions, to be asked, amongst humanity's flock
Submissive to the end, as the avaricious gaze upon us and mock
There's no rhyme or reason, for us to fear the harmless unknown
Hysteria though, is their poisonous seed, that can easily be sown
Every doubt evinced, funds the venality of the corrupted in power
Entrenching the demagoguery of delusions, to make us all cower
Narcissistic leaders and their oligarch allies, are wantonly callous
Eroding what we thought was our free will, for profits from malice
Monocrats thrive, when we die, their mourning is a faux threnody
You know friend from foe, but you should know, who's the enemy
