Unspoken
I long to hear the music of your voice
I cannot sleep
I’m in too deep
These waking dreams of you
Imagined walks
Remembered talks
Yet in the now I ache
The longing piercing through my heart
A single spoken word from you.
Yet you withhold
I have no doubt because
You know the truth
That in your vocal tones
The wordless fire of your passion
Can’t be concealed from my desire
If once you spoke
I’d hear it in your voice
The truth you could not hide
The surety
That you love me
Just like I knew
Before
I cannot sleep
I’m in too deep
These waking dreams of you
Imagined walks
Remembered talks
Yet in the now I ache
The longing piercing through my heart
A single spoken word from you.
Yet you withhold
I have no doubt because
You know the truth
That in your vocal tones
The wordless fire of your passion
Can’t be concealed from my desire
If once you spoke
I’d hear it in your voice
The truth you could not hide
The surety
That you love me
Just like I knew
Before
