I slept naked next to you
skin to skin
breath in breath
when we woke
we were in each other‘s eyes
the light was perfect—
softly defining
that natural clarifying blue
of a not-too-bright clear day
even though the sky was spread with clouds
I was happy remembering how you had loved me
