Sounds To Hear

The sounds of that special lady when
she is satisfied is never to traded
it triggers arousal, assurance, and joy
puts the world in full color
it is breathing that speeds up, slows down
takes what would be fighting words in another context as compliment for
“Doing It Right”

The affection to those utterances
of sexual expression are found
in our art, from the group Berlin, to Donna Summer, Madonna to Barry White, and on and on
break out Patti LaBelle, and even Ella Fitzgerald

Ironically those sounds of joy can also be mistaken for cries of help
examples all around of two going at it furiously only to be interrupted
others perceiving harm

That frantic pace of the desire to hit the orgasm or the more measured slow and steady rocking and the commonality
unmistakable sighs
in the day that meant time for a smoke
today that after glow might include putting the cell phone back on

Is our value in those sensual sounds a reflection of our more puritan tendencies
in the United States? Repress those thoughts until they hit a boiling point, typically behind closed doors?

The charms of a woman may grab a man in an array of ways
so burn like a volcano with a visual
some are triggered by a scent
I just know that urgency and eagerness in that vocal that must reach to what ever is beyond the world we operate in…
