Control

A voice beckons me forward
Towards a sea of darkness
Heartless I fall below
As I can't control or seem to harness

The carcass of my mind
Can't find peace from within
I begin my search beneath
I release in the wind

I ascend through the storm
Sworn to break my own cage
Enraged I fall deeper
Steeper, alone in this cave

Afraid ill be long gone
This song is unheard
One word is all it takes
I break beyond the herd

Lines blurred curtains drawn
Dawn falls upon the shadow
A battle for my sanity
This calamity will rattle

A saddle and a horse
To the north and the south
Without a compass to lead
Can't breathe though my mouth
