Much Was Given By Her Parted Lips

Much was given by her parted lips,
pursed and panting as she folded over me
      like a crumbling mountain.
Her every cell trembled with lust and beads of
sweat framed her open mouth sucking my breath
and tasting her saltiness still on my tongue.
She rode my shining column then paused to stare down at it’s pulsing.
When I finished, her flawed flesh toppled over me in surrender.

Yes, much was given by her parted lips,
      yet much more was taken
in her final parting gasps for life.

Author's Note
Written about a former lover who scummed to addiction. I was told she died of heart failure while making love. In this poem, I fantasize that I was her last lover.
