Image for the poem the meandering soul of brokenness

the meandering soul of brokenness

I covet the darkness of your smile
slightly crooked highlighting your scars
eternity dwells in the broken moments
somewhere in between
a limbo where you learn to feel
what it is to hurt, what it is to love

painful redemption is the way I feel
no one understands me like you do
my dirty secrets,
in your eyes all the more beautiful because of them

in the dark shine I am radiant
an off kilter ballerina
some glitter. some gold
an old spirit with nothing but time on my hands
and here we are you and I
shall we begin once more?

in the deep recess of nothingness
we found each other again
