Kasey

Keeping faith in a world
    That can be so unkind
She does it with a strong
     Spirit and mind

A heart of gold
     She harbors within
     Despite the hardships
     And places she's been

She's a friend, a daughter
     A sister and a mother
     A person this world
     Could replace with no other

Enduring and still loving
     Though she may weep
     Shows her beauty
     Isn't just skin deep

Years will come and go
Yet she'll always remain to be
     A woman of compassion
     The one we call Kasey

Author's Note
I wrote this for a truly wonderful woman. Her name wasn't long enough for all the great things that could be said about her.
