Cosmopolitans and Butterflies

No room for cosmopolitans and butterflies
then there were sorrows and poetic laurels
hearing echoes of dead pull me in over my head
in the deep dark pockets of depression, said
rattling the latches of death's martini
sitting on the crock of forever's deep sleep
