when time stopped, the music played
I don't know when I stopped living for the future
I don't know if I've ever lived for the future
I've always lived for something vague
I've never been the praying kind
at least not to any kind of diety that has a name
but there was that time I prayed for change
and namelessly it came
I can't say with certainty that I love my life
but I can say that right here right now
I don't hate it
I dance in this perfect limbo
knowing it's going to end
and it makes no difference
to the mood of the music
because in this limbo
I am
