Pots and Pans are People Too

There are square ones and round ones,
       small ones and big ones,
even fat ones and skinny ones
Pots and pans are people too
and seem to be lot like us
The mean ones burn your food
and sear you with a wither gaze
The timid ones seem afraid of flame,
but with some only dents will do
My ex is a perfect example,
oh, but please don't get me wrong
             I would never hit him
      ........... with my precious skillet
Some can take the heat,
    while others warp under pressure
        But the Teflon coated ones,
oh, those non-stick lying sons of bitches
                [yes, my ex again]
always piss me off the most
But the most important ones of all,
are the ones that respond to love and kindness
With just the right amount of heat
               the food becomes a treat
          and hopefully an aphrodisiac
I think this pan [er, I mean man]
               I'm cooking diner for
                    just might be a keeper
