Part 1. How to destress in modern life
https://youtu.be/dzbLuLzMWE4
A delicious languor steals over one
in the languid twilight falling over the meadow
Watching tiny animated spectrums
whirring in the after glow
Flitting among pretty petals
the gossamer-winged dragon-flies or mayflies
Fluttering among delicate filaments
the fine and flimsy butterflies.
Then also retire to admire
exquisite darting damselflies.
All in all some of nature's soothing balms.
Created by God Himself, Nature calms.
Divine holistic bonuses for relaxation...
Look for getaways, away from
city/town noise pollution.
A lavender sprinkled jacuzzi,
rose petals and jasmines floating about
like do lotus and lilies on ponds
right in your bubbly scented bubble-bath
As ambient soft gleams of moon beams
seep in through translucent glass.
Luxuriate in the ephemeral,
inhale the aromatic
incenses of perfumery, oils and essential oils
Bathe in invigorating spa, joys euphoric
listening to choirs of cicada music
Relax and unwind in the famed Turkish Bath
wherein to indulge yourself
in steamy massage
Complete with the charm of the exotic
even if you don't live in Turkey or aren't Turkish.
Nature and such baths all God created or inspired,
and thus very very therapeutic...

This read like a dream within a dream. To bathe in nature in this way would be heaven on earth. You celebrate the natural beauty of life with magical yet real imagery that gives me the most delicious feelings of the earth mother's creation. Loved that word "damselflies". one among a multitude of your delicately woven harmonies to nature's song. This is a silken vision that leaves me breathless in a bath of bubbles that morph into meadowland wonder.

You’d be very good at writing advertising copy, if that isn’t your job already. This poem makes me really want my own Turkish bath. There’s not much of a story or meaning, but it’s an effective poem in how it creates a mood.

Re: Re. Part 1. How to destress in modern life
Um though i do advertise many things, its not any profession of mine as in paying job lol.
Im glad it made you wish of a Turkish bath, i dream of it too.
Yeah like not all poems are stories, some are just muses, ideas and thoughts right.
But my poems always have meaning more than bearing poetic perfection so i wonder how you were the first to not find any in my nature muse, it intends to impart mental relaxation and on many sites that i posted it it did its job at that successfully.
Thanks for your review.!

Joys euphoric sound like pretty good distress to me!

Oh my Goodness, i learned a new word today, thank you! I have so much never heard of this word destress that even the 2nd and third time I read it my eye saw distress. I was struggling to figure out how to fit the title to the poem, and decided that perhaps you were saying the best way to experience distress is to go into a nature spot and commute the inner experience into relaxation (even joy euphoric) through communion with all about. On the side I was also imaging the ecstasy certain saints are said to have experienced within themselves, emerging into the individuals phenomenology as a delirium, nay, almost even a torture - which might be distressing to the individual while simultaneously being experienced as a joyfully euphoric thing overall. 🤷♀️

As well, I did catch that there were Turkish baths, but my mind saw dragonflies first and said, "Ohhhhh, pretty nature!" and so that's where I rolled. Exquisite poetry, very much a warmth

Oh dear i get it, you thought it was distress as in exorcist joys of pain or sth! Maybe I should have written the other spelling as in de-stress with a hyphen so as to be clearer otherwise i can see how i can be misunderstood. For i wanted to convey happy relaxing images only. So there is no torture in this. Take care🌷

Oh Lord no! There is no true torture in a Saint's agony. This sort of space is just where my mind happens to dwell. As well, you conveyed relaxation exceedingly well, I think.
And I think that if you had used a hyphen in the title it would've been a distraction overall, and sat kind of awkwardly . Plus, people can learn a new word!

There's something lush and magical in the full dimensional experience of nature that you've captured in the details here. Beautifully struck.

Thanks soo much for great review, i feel so humbled and excited that such a great talented poet like you should say that for my poem in its attempts at nature. I mean i know my poems are good, i think they are great but only until i read yours and feel paled and unable to ever emulate you. Cheers!

It's a very beautiful poem, full of very relaxing images. It's lovely. I would like to ask you something, zaynab. Do you find it alright to write your ideas just in phrases, and not in sentences? Please, let us discuss this point for the benefit of us both because l stick to sentences, and l would like to free myself a bit from this burden. Please, let us discuss this point for our benefit and not for an argument.

Um hi, i didn't quite get your comment, because i recall a poetry site manager on another site tell me thaf i should use more phrases and metaphors, that my poems have too long 'sentences' so I thought i have both in this poem.
I think your poems are good as they are, you shouldn't change a thing and i can't do better coz english is only a second language for me, Urdu is my first language.
Thanks soo much for suggestions, at least the images were relaxing.

I really enjoy the things you described:
inhale the aromatic
incenses of perfumery, oils and essential oils
Bathe in invigorating spa, joys euphoric
listening to choirs of cicada music
Those are things I love to do in my free time. Thank you for sharing.
