I like to take the train
it doesn't matter where I'm going
travelling without knowing
on a journey to somewhere
I need to re-enter my conscience
for I have been in orbit
to an unknown destination
sailing into starlight
I need to be alone
for I have been jilted
Don't question my motives
I need to recalibrate

I like trains to,destination or otherwise
When in the UK, used to take trains just to get out of the city and see the countryside. The turn and around and go back. Helped me get out of my head for awhile....
Getting jilted is part of the gig, stay in the game ..

Took a week off work and visited many places by train. Cleared my head after a fling with a psycho-bitch. Really bad situation. It won't happen again. Just need some time alone and I'll be alright.

Substitute train for car as I live in the burbs, this is a righteous poem for purging all the toxins after a relationship gone wrong. Sometimes getting out of town is the only tonic and you’ve summed that up wonderfully. Great write.

Thanks so much for your comments. Travelling on a train is escapism from a bad situation. I usually take a book to read or do some writing. I have a tendency to fall asleep sometimes 😴. I feel so much better being single and free from all complications I've endured.

Recalibrating, recharging is always good. Travelling can also so be very therapeutic.
