Return to Limbo

Breaking through the fateful glass
that splits the world from what is not
to dead decaying oaks, butterflies over ponds
flies on carcasses, that were never there

A world that is lost and can never be found
where you are alone, and all you're left with is eternity
the fog drifts with an undead visage
its embrace weighs heavy on your breath

Sins are carved into the trunks and the walls
The sky over, this placid lake, glows ominously
as you glide waters of trepidation, of poison
hell is full of surprises it seems

If ever there were a shade of blood
the dark wouldn't enlighten one's senses
every drop of this wailing sky feels so sad
dying countless times, to no avail

In the distance there are objects, great and small
contraptions of complex loops, thoughtless entirely
breaking through the seams of this timeless world
awaken here, where it all began, to see her mourn your loss.

But, neither of you remain.
