For Gabriel Jackson@Soul

Heartspeaks

Dear Soul,
you left today
without packing your bags
I was still sleeping
a string of beads fallen besides my bed

here in this realm
among those who love you...
there was a stillness
and my poems spoke in hushed whispers

on this twelfth month
...I think of golden dusts
floating around in the valley
and bright reflections of the sky on cool lakes
I am thinking of rain on glass windows
and water-bore in waterfalls
the sunbeams in the morning
of sunflowers and roses
I think of unfinished poems and promised collaborations
I think of your voice

I'm thinking so many things

Soul,
the poems you left us are mementos from your heart
and I will tend your flame in my heart until I too reach the stars
...today will pass
and so will I
but our hearts and souls essence will live on in our poetry.

*Farewell my love, if I could turn back time, your journey to heaven would start after my embrace*
