[ Minimal Isms ] The bottom line

of a single line
minimalist poem
is not the bottom line
of a single line
minimalist poem

nor is it the top line

or any other lines
you may have written
outside of the lines
for that matter . . .

but then erased
leaving behind those
tiny eraser crumbles

---with exception of
the title of course

unless you blew that off
leaving it untitled

I suppose you could have
blown your title off as well
by first erasing it
and then going "Pwa!"
with your lips and breath
sending those crumbles
flying from your paper

Although, if some spit
flew from your mouth
when you blew those crumbles
such might mess up your paper

I advise against excess lines
altogether

The point is

---not to be confused
with the other end
of the pencil---

the bottom line
and the bottom line
being the point is:

what one can read
between the lines
is what truly matters

and such could still be
a far cry from what
you intended

So do yourself
and all of us a favor:

use your fucking words
