Animals

There's animals
hiding
In the bushes outside
of my apartment
looking in
on me and my children
we do our best to tell each other
And ourselves
theres no such thing as
monsters
and boy,
do we want to
believe it.

Seen enough
death
for two or three.
television and media
speak
in waves
to these
animals
eating
animals
people are gonna eat each other
pretty soon
Thats what it all boils down to.
