Looking In Them

In you eyes I can see so much
That sparkle with a wanted touch
The fierce character of someone not chained
A desire to adjust when in pain

Not just your own
But injustice felt by others
A humanity not often found
To right a wrong you so hold that ground

It is more then the carnal impulses
That capture me so
But an other world quality
To what place I do not know

Will you invite me to share a moment in time
Even if weak or hackneyed is my rhyme
Is the gaze so intense on that given day
That I find myself with nothing to say

My better angels full effect in your space
In moments alone characters of another place
If true duality I shouldn't fear
Those intents seen as demons are so ever near

Intellect sublime I will try to answer the call
Yet knowing I am a mortal and sure to fall...
