Paranoia of a clown

Paranoia sinks in like bait on a hook.
Judged by my cover like a book.

You take one look,
And you put me down.
Treating me like,
your personal clown.

Under this make up,
I’m starting to drown,
In all of this sorrow,
there is a frown.

People forget how incredible clowns are,
so they let the comments go too far.

A clown is a very sad creature.
I know they’re merely human beings,
but it takes a special kind of sad being,
to feel so misplaced.
Knowing they can easily be replaced.

Yet, they still allow themselves to stand out.
