Leaves in fluttering sunlight
LEAVES IN FLUTTERING SUNLIGHT
I see them only out
of the corner of my eye
like falling leaves flying back
to the limbs
waiting
so shy
so patiently
to flutter down again
for a speck of bread
and a drink of water
from the crystal dish
dancing in joy before me
in a sparrow spectacle
which only some eyes can see
I see them only out
of the corner of my eye
like falling leaves flying back
to the limbs
waiting
so shy
so patiently
to flutter down again
for a speck of bread
and a drink of water
from the crystal dish
dancing in joy before me
in a sparrow spectacle
which only some eyes can see
