NDE

In a meadow with shining light
and flowers blooming...no more night
no more darkness, no more pain
I'm returning once again

no more body, only mind
scintillating, out of time
warm vibrations, divine love
it feels like floating up above

a Field of Reeds, Elysium
heavenly visions... I have come
back to where, in the beyond,
it feels like home...where I belong

with all the beings I've ever known,
appearing with me...I'm not alone
all the kindness which I shared
comes from those for whom I cared ...

returning quickly when a voice
offers me a simple choice
'do you want to stay or go?'
now I'm back down far below

with things to do and people to see
expressing life through poetry
knowing death is just a door
there is always something more
