Haunting fog
Haunting fog
The air is still on that cold dark night, you walk by the light of your mobile phone, somewhere in the darkness a noise tells you, that you are not alone
You search around as best you can, starring into the darkest night, now your feeling vulnerable, your heart races with the fright
Should you shout hello, but what happens if they answer back, it will home in on your voice, then they might attack
You start to walk quicker, but you feel they're getting close, you hear yourself praying to our God, our father and the Holy ghost
You begin to start running, looking for a comforting light, but you're surrounded just by loneliness there's no help for you tonight
You can here the noises getting closer, to you they seem so loud, there isn't even moonlight, it's hidden by a cloud
You didn't see the high kerb, next minute you've hit the floor, pain rushes through your knee, you're shaken to the core
Then it is upon you, you're alone in Londons haunting fog, you imagined it was like a new Jack the Ripper but it simply was a dog
Like you it was in the cold dark fog, unloved and all alone, you laugh then give him a stroke, then hobble your way home
