I was taught not to be too loud, too different, too far outside of accepted social norms….that’s never worked for me 😂

I’ll write 100 poems about myself every single day if I want to. I accept that no one would read that shit, but my point is, I will do what the fuck ever I want, and I don’t give two shits about someone else’s opinion, because it’s just that…an opinion.

Always be true to yourself…your inner most self, regardless of what anyone else might have to say about it.

The thing about writing "self" poems is that they're "human" poems, so they open the door for all of us to be more ourselves.... I don't think they show a lack of humility at all. We're all equally fucked and glorious, what else is there to write about, really??
