Only Smoke and Mirrors...
reflecting on yesterday,
through a clouded haze
smoke wafts like spectres
water colors flow down
from raindrops falling
dripping from fingertips, bleeding
memories
papier mache' angels
with kaleidoscope eyes
looking through picture frames
mirrors of the mind, and carousel
rides
hear the melody of pianos
and woodwinds greeting
sunshine, through smoke and mirrors
we gaze

Author's Note
I put this as a motivational poem, even though it reads quite sad, with the use of language I chose but it is really quite spiritual, with a essence of reflections of beauty...this image really spoke to me, the Ekphrasis really speaks through this image to me...Ekpharisis is a poetry style where the poet speaks for the picture that gives them inspiration I found a lot of cool pictures that I will be feature this Ekpharisis is No.1..
