Dissipated Spark -  with TrueLover

Dissolving in the darkest corner of the room rests my shadow,
Waiting for the darkness to fill the room.

Buried within my mind's fantasies,
There were two mesmerizing butterflies dancing to a lullaby tune.

With wings of crystal glass,
reflecting light on to the past.

And now memories of deep sorrow fill the sky,
Memories of you and I.

We were mountain high in tenderness,
There were brief moments of peaceful bliss.

Just as intended the lullaby sent me adrift into a sleepy trance,
I awoke to a broken heart tragedy instead of a sweet romance.

As time went by and days went on,
Everything changed.
Even the song.

It was soon made clear as to where each of our hearts lie,
Mine is bleeding out into your hands.
And to the crime you still deny.

Watching as the butterflies create a luminescent glow in the dark.
Images of you walking out the door illuminates the sky.
It’s a painful reminder of the now dissipated spark.
