Seasonal Affective Disorder

golden, orange, red and dead
leaves are falling on my head
the wind is blowing, puff and gust
It seems that chlorophyll can rust

oxidation's slow decay
makes another autumn day
with grey clouds looming in the sky
always there's a reason why

cyclic changes reappear
Earth keeps wobbling, we are near
the end of warmth now cool days come
all transforms as we become

happier to stay within
where we shelter from the din
from the noise and chilly blasts
believing firmly nothing lasts

wobbling back we long for spring
we long for daylight lengthening
we long for each other when alone
while on the internet we all roam
