I like the surplus apostrophe in “con’fused”. That’s a neat little jab at the faux-archaic language high fantasy often goes for.

Yep. I think we have very few people in government who do know better and at least one ex president who loves everything made of gold.

I liked that Gandalf knew so as to not be tempted with it. Other people would jump at the chance. Come to think of it, it's a great metaphor, those seeking that much power are consumed by it.
