Rhythm O (Marina Abramovic)
Rhythm O was a 6 hour work of performance art by Serbian artist Marina Abramovic in Studio Morra, Naples in 1974. The work involved Abramovic standing still while the audience was invited to do whatever they wished, using one of 72 objects she had placed on a table. These items included a rose, feather, perfume, honey, bread, grapes, wine, scissors, a scalpel, nails, a metal bar, and a gun loaded with one bullet.
I was challenged to do a poem about Marina Abramovic. To honor this amazing woman I am going to perform her Rhythm O here on DPU. The rules of this post are listed below, and in this case there will be no time limit. Please be lewd, rude, crude, show attitude, be loving, be kind, be inventive, be yourself. No holding back please.
Love you all.......
1. Objects for use upon my body are not limited to 72 like in her original performance. Instead you are allowed to use your imagination, and implore whatever objects your mind wishes.
2. In the comments section below please post what you decide to do to my body, and how. You can be explicit as you wish, as this is performance art.
3. I am standing alone on a small raised platform before you, dressed in white boxers.
Let the performance begin......
