One never stays the same

A new chapter
a new landmark in my limited timeline,
I’m realizing that
one never stays the same,
one doesn’t simply remain unchanged.

Oh how much can change in 1 year,
even 6 months, 3 months, 1 week..
this individual evolution feels quick and
does not seem to come to an end..
only becomes suspended when one doesnt
find a way to progress,
consciously or unconsciously
holding oneself back,
 in my case it’s both..

Ive seen so much shift in myself recently
and I’m aware
of my tendency to halt the process
with my self consciousness
with no belief in myself,
with flawed ways of thinking.
I sometimes watch myself sink
and as I’m sinking, going deeper and deeper..
something always brings me back to the surface
whether it be visions of divinity
or waves of wonderment
washing my mind clean,
tossing out any of the obscene
negativity plaguing every part of me
be it my dreams or daily streams of thought..
