Dear U,

A sucker punch hurts less than a breakup. Especially when one gives of themselves that which they would normally reserve. I wish crazy eight balls worked better so these nightmare endings could be seen ahead of time and thusly circumvented. I really liked the spacing of the poem because to me it leant itself to punctuating each level of pain.

ohh the pain of a sucker punch wanes far sooner than that of a breakup. I love your idea of seeking the advice from somewhere or someone who really knows. The bigger question: would we listen, or are these relationships just the lessons we need to have? I mean, what would I write about if not for pain? hmmm.
