Acid rain

Among the rain drops I walk.
Skin barely soaked while I talk
apparently to no one.

Alone yet so combined in my thoughts.
I choose to believe I’m being mocked
apparently by no one.

Acid rain for the people walking by.
Friendly faces warm the hearts we carry.
Cleaned spotless by tears on the inside.
Burning pains make our brains act wary.

Clouding our judgement, twisting our believes.
Amidst the reign we fell to our knees.

Acid rains are the cause of these indelible stains.
Acid rains are the cause of these corroded drains.

Corrosion will free me from my chains.
Bless the soul who set fire to the rains.
