Sunrise

sparkling, shimmering, rainbow light
glistening, glimmering dispels night
twilight, predawn, soon to come
in the sky a golden sun

water vapour in the air
intensifying colours where
microscopic prisms split
white light into every bit

every possibility
in everything that we can see
crimson fades to infrared
ultraviolet looms ahead

ever brighter as we turn
with the Earth to yearn and yearn
for tomorrow and yesterday
to disappear, to go away

every moment in empty space
we are filled with every taste
every fragrance and every sound
and every feeling we have found

coalescing to disperse
nothing better, nothing worse
we're all living in-between
electric currents as they stream
