Subservience?
Girls
Let your heart now be inhabited,
possessed
within the wild thought,
the thought that has the power
to set your blood astir,
that you, because you are a girl,
may, as you grow,
become by right empowered
beyond the reach
of any man
who is convicted
and convinced that you
are someone God has wrought
to only be
men's maid,
and destined by your gender as
inferior,
designed for chaste subservience at every hour
to any of
their wishes and their whims
if you are ever to be saved.
The fundamentalist’s
assertion
that you have no equality
with men,
and engage in sin if you believe
what the Apostle Paul once said
that in Christ Jesus there is
no longer a distinction that
may still be used to relegate
your kind
to serfdom and its due,
ignores what Genesis proclaims
as true.
That is,
that you, your sisters too,
were specifically created as
the “help-meet’ fit
for males,
a role that God declares
is also his.
And God is no one’s slave.

Dear Baldwin,
Is this a lesson or a sermon? Don't you think that girls are not waiting for you to have such a lesson? Women are equal to men in everything and not waiting for anyone to teach them this lesson.

Given how often you write lessons and sermons, one would think that you'd already know the answer to this question
"Don't you think that girls are not waiting for you to have such a lesson? "
For me to HAVE such a lesson? Did you mean to write "waiting for you to GIVE such a lesson"?
"Women are equal to men in everything and [SIC are] not waiting for anyone to teach them this lesson."
This is rich coming from someone who has repeatedly said that the only way women find true happiness is in being married, in accepting the role of housekeeper and "mum", and by pleasing their men.
How do you know that women are not waiting for anyone to tell them that they are men's equals?
And it is ironic that this question is asked by someone who does not care whether or not people are waiting for the lessons he constantly posts to them.
In any case, whether or not women -- especially those in patriarchal societies like yours -- already know "this lesson", my experience is that they still want to hear that men accept it the truth of it and are willing to say it.
Now, perhaps instead of focusing upon the question of whether what I say needs to be said, how about you say something about how and why my piece does (or does not) display poetic art.

I don't think that a lesson like your writing above is worthy to be treated as a poem and criticized as such.

Why not? It has all of the elements that, according to you, a writing must have to be poetry. And it is far more internally coherent than many of your didactic pieces.
So please demonstrate that you have good reasons for thinking that a lesson "like" the one I set out above (did you mean ""I don't think that THE lesson in your writing above?) is not worth treating as a poem or deserving of a thoughtful and articulate critique from the perspective of how and why it does or doesn't display poetic art. Otherwise, there is no reason for anyone to take your dismissive and wholly unsubstantiated opinion of my submission as having any merit or as true.
