burning breadth

Beseeched to the bending of the bow
the wind had begun to blow
and so had she
the branches begging to breathe
in recesses never once reached
seducing an idle mind

out of the way
where forests felt of man
bent over
out on a limb
she held up to his strength
knowing no way they would fall
in the burning of this tempestuous reign
